You may have already heard about the new “refreshing” fish pedicures where feet are placed in pedicure bowls full of skin-eating fish. I couldn’t help thinking about being a young kid and seeing a news piece on TV about maggots and leeches used for medicinal purposes, so I guess it shouldn’t have surprised me that fish are being used to remove the dead skin from the bottom of the feet.

We know how important it is to take care of our health. If we get sick, we miss work and miss income. It drains our pocketbook when we have to pay for medicine and doctor’s visits. Nothing new there. I recently read an article where a nail salon in the Baltimore area was using an electric unit to warm Acetone. A woman who was having her enhancements removed to have a fresh new applied got severely burned on her face, hands, stomach and legs when the Acetone she was soaking her nails in ignited.
