Better Color Coverage

This “trick” employed to increase the ease of color coverage...

This “trick” employed to increase the ease of color coverage, particularly for a less-experienced user, comes from seasoned nail technician and NSI distributor in Canada, Susan Dean Clark.

“My favorite trick with Balance Color Gels is to ‘dry wipe’ the nail prior to color gel application.  I apply a layer of Balance Builder Clear and cure for 90 seconds. Then, using a DRY lint-free wipe, I wipe the nail before proceeding with my color gel application.

This removes most, but not all, of the dispersion layer and allows the color gel to be applied without shrinking away from the edges. The gel won’t run, staying right where you put it, making application a lot easier.  This ‘trick’ works great when I'm using a color gel for a French look or nail art.”

You can also use this “trick” when applying Illusion Soak-Off Color Gels or Polish Pro Light-Cured Nail Polish.

NOTE: The tip is a good one as long as the Nail Wipe is truly lint-free, as some wipes can leave fibers behind (particularly when they are dry).
