Creating the Perfect Acrylic Stiletto
Techniques to help you achieve the perfect stiletto shape.

Double up the Platinum Nail Forms to give a firmer working platform. This technique helps maintain that deep curve/crease under the nail, achieving the pyramid effect that is required for the perfect stiletto shape.

Prior to fitting the form, you can perform this additional step to ensure your stilettos are perfectly straight and balanced. Mark the center of each natural nail with a slight pencil mark. When fitting the form, make sure that your crease/curve on the form lines up with the pencil mark.
After applying the form to the free edge pinch the form together underneath to create a cone.

Apply Attraction Purely Pink Masque Nail Powder using the reverse technique to create your smile line. A coverage powder will allow you to create the illusion of a longer nail bed and you won’t see the natural smile line as the nail grows out.
Apply the beads of your chosen color(s) to create the extension edge (In this photo, we are marbleizing with colored acrylic.) Start by placing beads on both sides of the smile line. Add smaller beads as you work towards the point on the form. You’ll need to work quickly so you can perfect your sidewalls while the acrylic is still wet.
Flatten your acrylic brush and use it to smooth the sidewalls of your extension. When you are happy with your shape, apply a layer of Attraction Totally Clear Nail Powder over the entire enhancement. This layer of clear will protect your color during the filing and shaping process.

Refine your stiletto shape, being cognizant to keep both sides even. TIP: Focus your eye on the center of the nail and file towards the point. Continue refining the other areas of the enhancement until it is balanced and attractive. Remove the dust with Cleanse and finish with Glaze ‘n Go and cure.
